Originally a very traditional “Utah” style home owned by a family of 6 now belonged to empty nesters who wanted to give it their own personal touch. One thing we felt strongly about was the original floorplan was lacking natural light, an open concept layout, and a dedicated pantry. We set to work tweaking the existing floorplan to incorporate everything they felt the home was missing. After incorporating two oversized sliding patio doors, we were able to give them all the natural light they were hoping for along with additional indoor/outdoor entertaining space. The dedicated pantry was achieved by breaking through an exterior kitchen wall and utilizing some space from the third car garage. The finishes within the home speak for themselves showcasing how a well-thought-out remodel can become a whole new sanctuary for empty nesters.
